When I first read this article I was utterly speechless. The level of narcissism, arrogance and sheer evil that the woman in this article displays may make you lose your breakfast – it almost made me lose mine. There really is no other way to describe what “Lana” did to her child – she aborted him because he was a boy. Murdered him, because he was a boy – let that sink in and read the full article. – Beesha
In the father’s original post he explains why he and his wife decided to go with IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatments to conceive:
We desperately tried to get pregnant for nearly two years, first the natural way, then via several IUIs (intrauterine inseminations). But getting pregnant when you’re both pushing 40 is sort of like trying to blow up the Death Star; it’s possible, but you need the perfect shot.
The couple chose to implant two embryos to increase their odds. Naturally they were overjoyed to discover the procedure had been a success. When they discovered that both embryos had successfully implanted? Not so much.
My initial reaction was full of disappointment, anger, fear, and guilt…As horrible as this might sound, we found ourselves wishing these twins away.
The comments section lit up with angry messages from readers accusing the anonymous writer of being ungrateful and selfish.
Feeling her husband was being treated unfairly, the mother took to the blogosphere to give her own side of the story. The expectant mother echoed her husband’s frustration with impending twins.
While I am grateful we are pregnant, I am changed…The “glass half full” person is no longer. The twins are coming fast, and I don’t feel a sense of joy…We only wanted one…Now, seven months into my pregnancy — and in therapy — I still feel remorse and am terrified of our future.
Her comment section was not much lighter than her husband’s.
I think the truth of this story goes way behind a couple of selfish millennials complaining about their abundance of blessings. This is a larger symptom of a society that has now raised entire generations of children who believe they are entitled to whatever they want whenever they want without consequence. This anonymous couple is nothing more than the Saved By the Bell version of Occupy Wallstreet.
These people are very close to my own age. We were raised by the children of the 60′s who were still high on modern feminism and sit-ins. We were taught that a woman can have it all. Nay, that she is ENTITLED to it all – the perfect career, the perfect marriage, the perfect family. We were raised to believe that “finding your own path” was a necessary precursor to having a family.
Feminists are at it again, demonstrating they are equal to men in strength and independence — by damseling themselves, threatening to cry and faint and never step up to prove their equalness again if men don’t start protecting them from harsh words typed from behind anonymous screen names on the interwebs.
You can get a sample of that kind of thinking in this video.
Once again, they need men to clear the way, not of wild beasts or indigenous savages or foreign attackers, but of misfits and teenagers with laptops and low social IQs. Only when this scurrilous plague is extirpated can this brand of woman prove she can do anything men can do, and do it better, and do it in heels.
Feminist woman has so much to say; so many emotions to emote, and she will stand behind it all like Joan of Arc, as long as there are men around to shut anyone up who gives her a hard time. Or who disagrees with her. Or who might look a little creepy.
Her censorship target célèbre this time is the social media website Twitter, where, like everywhere else online, there is no shortage of under-socialized, and likely underage incorrigible misfits who get a rise out of getting under the people’s skins. The thinner the skin, methinks, the better.
Nothing gets under the wafer-thin porcelain epidermis of a feminist quicker than rapey-tweets, which apparently have been coming in abundance.
Mind you, the feminists have reframed these comments into rape “threats,” which almost none of them are. But don’t worry, I won’t bore you long with such realities. The fact is that many of these comments do have a kind of rapey aura to them, which is by design since everyone knows that use of the “R” word outside PSAs for the sexual grievance industry makes feminists wilt like cheap flowers and put 911 on speed dial.
There are actually two phenomena at play here. One is the comments themselves, which we will get to in a minute, but the first one is what I like to call Watson’s Law. This is the principle that social power and dominance for feminist women as a class is roughly equal to a manufactured crisis multiplied by the energy expended by obsequious men to charge in and fix it.
We saw this law’s namesake, Rebecca Watson, pave the way for her sisters by taking a few internet comments and turning them into a security crisis for secular conferences, thereby thrusting her (with her enthusiastic consent) into the public limelight. Since then she can giggle and smile while complaining that she can’t make it through the parking lot at a secular gathering without being raped, or maybe even being invited to coffee.
Anita Sarkeesian was a quick study in Watson’s Law. She took the basic principles and put them to work for profit. Sarkeesian posted some pro-feminist drivel in an online community where she knew it would not be popular, then took the predictable rapey-beaty reactions, parlayed them into a threat narrative and used that to damsel herself in a Kickstarter. She shrewdly manipulated her way into 150 grand, with which she has made a couple of Youtube vids aimed at ultimately asserting feminist hegemony in the gaming world.
Not bad work if you can get it, and these women can.
Once you wade through the political rhetoric, the media cover-up and the overall ugliness surrounding the Kermit Gosnell trial, there’s an important message to take away: The abortion debate is transparently becoming less and less about when life begins, and instead about two groups of people separated by an increasingly large ideological gap.
How else do you explain the thousands of people killing their children on a mere “in or out” technicality?
No, as you peel the layers of obfuscation from the atrocity that is the modern abortion holocaust, you will find a battle between two groups of people with very, very different values. Those people are either Lifeists or Abortionists.
(Sidenote: Kermit Gosnell is an evil murderer, the kind of guy who has Satan personally praying for the man’s salvation just so that he can deny him entry. Is a fetus a human being? Certainly much more so than Gosnell. On with the column.)
Terms like “pro-choice” sound benign. Leftists designed them that way. Who could possibly be against choice? Whether it’s “reproductive rights” or pizza toppings, “choice” sounds like a really good thing. But for this term to hold any real meaning, one would have to assume first that its adversaries are anti-choice, and that “choice” has anything to do with legitimizing murder.
Lifeists believe in choices as well. The choice to abstain from sex, the choice to engage in protected sex, or even the choices made to correct past mistakes, like giving a child up for adoption, or taking responsibilities for one’s actions (be that through becoming a loving mother or active father).
No, Abortionists aren’t “pro-choice.” They simply allow the ideal of comfortable choice — of convenient choice — to trump the value of life.
According to this news story, professors at the University of Buffalo compared pro-life students to a lynch mob and tried to shut them down. Of course, it was one of the professors who was actually arrested for behaving in a lynch mob manner.
The school district had a similar reaction to us when we protested Planned Parenthood’s involvement in our schools. While we were not the subject of profanity-laced tirades, the following meeting had a large number of security guards present as if we were some sort of threat to their safety. But we were no such thing. We are pro-life. We respect others, even when they don’t respect us.
At Buffalo University, pro-abortion professors and others objected to the graphic depiction of abortion present on the posters. If they are in favor of abortion, you would think they would be proud to have those pictures displayed. But they are not.
In Salem-Keizer School District, a grandmother read from a Planned Parenthood website. You would think that if they were in favor of Planned Parenthood in our schools, they would be proud to hear those words. But they weren’t. They asked the grandmother to stop reading from the text of the website. I think it was called “Take Care Down There”. Anyway, like the professor at Buffalo University who was arrested for harassing pro-life students, they are in favor of something they are not really proud of. They don’t want it shown. They tried to hide Planned Parenthood’s involvement, and downplayed what Planned Parenthood does. We think its better to be in favor of something that we are proud of.
There are two candidates for the school board who are in favor of getting rid of Planned Parenthood. Gayle Strawn is on the ballot, and Denise Quinn-Nanke is a write-in candidate. Support them with your votes. Just as important, support them by spreading the news on social media and telling your friends. Like them on Facebook. Forward e-mails. We need everyone to know about Planned Parenthood’s involvement in our schools, and that there are two candidates who aim to stop it.

UPDATE: I’ve been running this search every day and the Statesman Journal is STILL SILENT as of today.
Twitter has been blazing with the #Gosnell awareness campaign, which is bringing attention to the hideous crimes of Dr. Kermit Gosnell in Philadelphia, PA. I was browsing articles on Twitchy and came across this piece on the deafening lack of coverage at the venerable New York Times. I decided to head on over to the Statesman Journal webpage and do a little search of my own.
Here’s what my search for “Gosnell” yielded today (April 14, 2013)
Now some may ask “why would a newspaper in Salem, Oregon cover a murder trial in Pennsylvania?” That’s a good question however, the Statesman Journal is the only major newspaper published in the capital city, it is owned by Gannett, and it links to USA Today as it’s source for national news. So, perhaps the more troubling question is why didn’t my search yield any results from their national news affiliate?
All news starts out as “regional news”, but some events are so shocking that they transcend that status quickly and make the leap into national news. The Newtown school massacre, the Aurora theater massacre, and Super-storm Sandy were all regional tragedies that demanded national attention. The heinous crimes of Kermit Gosnell – and his murder trial – also have national significance and the massive amount of social media attention reflects that.
There are people in communities across the country who rely on their local newspapers to give them the news: local, state-wide, and national. Given that these papers are part of a larger food chain of information, my search query should have brought up some results.
We must act now to prevent Planned Parenthood from becoming more firmly entrenched in our school system. We must not have the nation’s largest promoter of promiscuity and teen age sex, and the nation’s largest abortion provider presented to our children as an educator, a community service organization, and a resource to meet their needs. Our children must be aware of this organization’s true nature, not have them presented as just another “agency” in our schools. Planned Parenthood must not be given access to our children in any form. In some school districts, they have even run clinics in the schools. We can’t let that happen here.
We are asking that the word be spread about what is going on. Post Salemschoolwatch.com on your Facebook page. E-mail your friends. Talk to your pastor. People need to be made aware of what is going on.
We would like every parent, every taxpayer, every community member to contact the school board and the superintendent to voice their opposition to Planned Parenthood’s presence in our schools.
We need people to show up at school board meetings.
Everyone should remain polite, but firm and insistent in communication with the district. We can’t take “no” for an answer.
Make it a special point to contact the Superintendent, the Chairperson of the School Board, and the Vice Chair Person of the school board, listed below.
Periodically check the website, salemschoolwatch.com for updates and information.
Don’t wait for “permission” to act. If you feel called to do something, then do it. But do keep in touch so we remain effective and aren’t duplicating efforts, or if you want to discuss an idea with someone.

On April 3, I challenged Oregon Republican legislators to stand up to Democrats and the Oregon abortion industry and not be bullied by the threat of facing a floor vote on HCR 6, which celebrates Oregon as the state with the fewest restrictions on the barbaric practice known as abortion. In these last ten days, something has happened that should bolster the collective spines of the GOP in Salem. Thanks to relentless reporting by conservative, non-mainstream media, the murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell in Philadelphia has finally given America and the rest of the world a gruesome, firsthand look inside an abortion slaughterhouse.
Meanwhile, in Salem, some GOP leaders are quietly hoping Democrat leadership does not bring HCR 6 to the floor, forcing a debate and uncomfortable vote on a keystone plank of the Democratic Party’s platform. To the contrary, there has never been a better time to open the doors to the abortion mills for everyone to see what occurs during this “medical procedure.” Democrats continue their party line that abortions must be kept “legal and safe.” Safe for whom? Babies who are effectively if not literally decapitated while screaming? And what is the response by Oregon’s NARAL and Planned Parenthood chapters to abortion’s dirtiest secrets being revealed? Well, they’re having a fundraiser and abortion comedy show.

Now I want to preface this story with a little bit of information about me. I am not one of those people you will see out on Facebook posting pictures of fetuses. I’m not the guy who pickets abortion clinics or makes the abortion debate his #1 issue. But what I am is a person who would never abort a child, because it’s a child. I believe that a human life is such a complex thing, and it shouldn’t be destroyed on a whim, at any stage of life.
I find this case barbaric. Just skimming the Grand Jury Report made me nauseous. This case is drawing out anger and disgust against the abortionist Doctor Kermit Gosnell, from those who are pro-life and pro-choice. The question I ask is… why? Why this specific case? Bear with me.
News has been coming out that this abortion clinic was absolutely a house of horrors. Slate.com is reporting on this, and shared a segment from the Grand Jury Report in their article. I appreciate that, because the temptation is to glaze over the details. This kind of thing needs to be heard though. I want to warn you right now: this is disturbing.
Furniture and blankets were stained with blood. Instruments were not properly sterilized. Disposable medical supplies were not disposed of; they were reused, over and over again. Medical equipment – such as the defibrillator, the EKG, the pulse oximeter, the blood pressure cuff – was generally broken; even when it worked, it wasn’t used. The emergency exit was padlocked shut. And scattered throughout, in cabinets, in the basement, in a freezer, in jars and bags and plastic jugs, were fetal remains. It was a baby charnel house.
